A new thriller novel has given a whole new meaning to the phrase 'killer' Sudoku!

The first ever Sudoku-based murder mystery, The Sudoku Murder: A Katie McDonald Mystery by Shelley Freydont, has been published.

Katie McDonald is a member of the Institute of Theoretical Mathematics and a master puzzle-solver. She is enlisted to solve the murder of a world-famous puzzle expert who's discovered slumped over his desk having been stabbed with a letter opener.

Sleuth Katie McDonald finds clues to the murder in a half-finished Sudoku puzzle found next to the corpse.
