Chrysler Aspen Snowdoku™ Challenge

Carmaker Chrysler is heating up the sudoku craze in New York USA by transforming the traditionally solitary game of sudoku into a high-energy, must-see outdoor sporting event called “Chrysler Aspen Snowdoku™ Challenge.”

Chrysler is inviting teams of up to eight sudoku puzzle players to New York City on Tuesday, February 27th, to find the winning combination of brains and brawn as they go head-to-head to solve a giant, larger- than-life “Snowdoku™” puzzle made out of snow. The best-in-class team that solves the puzzle in the quickest amount of time will win a trip to Aspen, Colo. and will ride in style during their stay in an all-new 2007 Chrysler Aspen, the brand’s first sport utility vehicle.

“Sudoku is a national phenomenon that has captivated puzzle fans of all ages. People just can’t seem to get enough of it,” said Will Shortz, who is the crossword editor for The New York Times and has published more than 40 books of sudoku puzzles. “I think ‘Snowdoku™’ is a great way to make sudoku more interactive. It combines logic, athletics, and teamwork into one big competitive spectacle.”

“Snowdoku™” dream teams can consist of any combination of players from two to eight who live within a 200-mile radius of New York City. Up to 14 teams will be selected to compete. To join in register at www.ChryslerAspenSnowdoku.com for a chance to be selected to attempt the frosty feat. Residents can register online, from Tuesday, January 30 until Tuesday, February 20. All participants must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license at the time of entry.

If you visit the competition website there is a Sudoku puzzle by Will Shortz to print off too.

Sudoku Quotes and Tips
I think that is what makes a good puzzler, a willingness to keep nutting something out and resisting the temptation to go to the back of the book for the answers.
